The narrative is too simple. The explanations given by traditional science stop at the first convenient reasoning. We have a question, and that question receives an answer. At this point, the enquiry stops. But we do not believe that it should stop there. We believe that there are layers to this existence which go deeper than mathematics. We do not believe that an equation is enough. There is more. There is much more.
We invite everyone who shares this feeling to join us in our quest to go beyond the first acceptable explanation. We invite everyone who feels the weight of the duty of deeper exploration. This invitation goes out to the mystics, to the dreamers, to the people who dare to question the question. If you feel that the morsels of knowledge you have been fed do not satisfy the hunger you know, the hunger that demands to be addressed, that calls out, like an enquiring Oliver: more, more, more! – then join Alternative Science.
Just because you can’t prove something doesn’t mean it’s not true. If a teacher explains a concept seventeen times, but the students still don’t understand, the problem is not with the students, but with the teacher. The concept needs to be explained in a different way. This is what we feel. Yes, we agree that the scientific method is reliable. Yes, we agree that the scientific method brings results. But no, we do not agree that it is the only method available. There is more. There is much more.
As William Blake said: As a man is, so he sees. We see the patterns. We understand the logic. We know what we are doing. But we also see the bigger picture. We must also step back and look at it all from a different angle. The truth is what matters. And it is not true that we must dissect reality in order to know why it works. You cannot tell the time by taking apart a clock. You cannot understand joy by examining the organ of the heart. There is more.
If you feel this, join us. If you are a seeker of truth, and you are not afraid to let the truth lead you wherever it may take you, then Alternative Science wants you. If you can question the interconnectedness of the material world, and come away with more questions than answers, Alternative Science is the place for you. If you can examine a fact, and know that this fact is not the end, but one more stepping stone across the deep waters of the unknown, then you are in your heart an Alternative Scientist.
There is more. There is much more.
