Literally an \u2018idiot war\u2019, stubellum occurs when the actions of two idiots cancel each other out. The word has its origins in an motor vehicle incident involving a Ms. Lorraine McDermott and a Ms Fiona O\u2019Connell at the intersection of Bridge Street and Water Street, Donegal Town, on the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> of August 2002 when Ms McDermott\u2019s husband, reacting to a ridiculously dangerous maneuver by the car Ms O\u2019Connell was driving, recorded the following conversation between himself and his wife:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHoly feck, Lorraine! That was crazy! She could have smashed right into us!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOh, it\u2019s okay. I didn\u2019t see her either. I was busy eating this cheesecake.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou are both idiots.
